covered wagon and historic home at Philip Foster Farm in Eagle Creek, Oregon near Estacada

HERITAGE

Culture runs deep in the rivers and lands of the region. Walk in the path of past Oregon Trail pioneers when you visit sections of the Barlow Road. Located in the heart of Government Camp, the Mt. Hood Cultural Center and Museum  is a great starting point to understand the past and present of Mt. Hood life.

Experience the Oregon Trail journey and the rich cultures of the regions indigenous peoples at the End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center and Museum of the Oregon Territory. Philip Foster Farm offers a glimpse into what daily life was like back in the 1800s.

Other family friendly Oregon historical sites include a ride on the historic Canby Ferry or Oregon City’s elevator, which is the only outdoor municipal elevator, also known as a vertical street, remaining in the U.S.
